0 Rainy Dayz..

We have had so much rain this past week its just crazy so i wanted to do a rainy day look. On rain days i normally just sport jeans and a tee since i dont go out unless its a must. This look is packed with brite golden shimmer since its so gloomy outside and then of course i had to bring in a bit of drab blue. This look was done from all drug store brands which is odd for me but there are some really good ones out there now so its ok.

I used the elf pro mini limited edition set:
row 1 #3 applied wet on lid
row1 #1 as highlight
row 3 #8 in the crease
black liner on lid and waterline
that blue under eye 1/2 way and the one i used on my lid for the inner corner 1/2
then apply mascara. tada

Not much else to report today other than a few make up deals i scored. Walgreens has sinful nail polish on sale for .99 cents limit 3 and wet n wild on sale for .69 cents. They also have some revlon, loreal, and cover girl buy 1 get 1 50%off so now is a good time to stock up on foundation or the perfect time to try some new one. I normally get makeup forever foundation but when i dont have the 40 bucks to spend i get revlons photo ready foundation. I really like it and im on my 2nd bottle from them so that says alot. Since the sale is going on right now i am going to try the color stay since the only bad thing about the photo ready is it has tiny shimmers in it and if you have oily skin like me its not so good if you are gonna have it on for a long time. So i heard great things about color stay and they have a oily/combo skin formula. It claims it will look fresh for 16 hours. We shall see :)

0 Easter Look....

Well Easter is right around the corner. literally its tomorrow so i wanted to get in my Easter spring contest look. When i think of spring pastels and rainbows come to mind so i ran with that. Yesterdays look was so bold and dark so today's is light and fun. I started with a primer on my lids up to the brow line. Then i applied a yellow shimmer in the corner followed by orange, pink, purple and blue. I took each color up to my brow and then lightly blended. I applied shadow under my eye in the same manor and blended. Next apply liner to lid and water line follow up with some mascara and light pink gloss and your good to go.

I didn't do a video of this cause its pretty easy anyone can do it. So here are some pictures.

HAPPY EASTER

0 mini make up haul...

I scored some awesome deals when i went out shopping the other day. This was all about $1 each cant beat that. I was out getting things for easter from dollar tree and saw they had just stocked their beauty isle and OMG they had elf studio line for a buck. (normally $3+) i got some brushes, eyeshadows, lip glosses, liquid lipstick, gel liner, nail polish by nyc, wipes and the new brusher from garnier. The $ store also had some maybelline roll on shadows, and some other really cool eyeshadows in unique packaging. All in all i love everything i got and will be doing some new looks with all the awesome stuff :)
I got the nyc nail polish for like 70 cents with coupon, & the brusher for about 3.00 with coupon.

And now just for the fun of it here is a look i did for the fairy & high end runway contests.

If you are interested in a tutorial for this look let me know.

1 Deals that you would not believe.

I use to coupon a few years back and did pretty good with it but stopped when things got comfortable around here. Big mistake. I look back now on the deals i missed out on and all the extra money my family could have been saving. Now that the economy is so poor and unforeseen things have come up i have gone back to being a little coupon diva. Its very easy to do and with the success i have had this past week i will never stop again.
I am no extreme couponer by any means but i do love a good deal. I do get some things for free but i have no clue how people get toilet paper and stuff like that for free. Even with a good coupon and a sale its still never free so whats up with that people. lol

Anyway i want to do a little show and tell on what couponing and clearance shopping can do for you. In one week i saved over $500. It was on clothing, food, home goods, ect. My first trip was to shop n save where i saved 33% on my groceries. Then i had a trip to target where i saved 50% on my total and got several items free. Next i headed over to walmart where i was able to get the toy story 3 operation game for only $2.00. I had another grocery store trip that week that i saved 45% at and then my most proud moment was when i went clothes shopping. My day started at old navy for the deal of the day. (cropped cardis for $8) I also found lots of other great deals.
2 cropped cardis
2 flip flops
girls hoodie
2 girls pants
3 xxl mens shirts
xxl mens zipup hoodie
2 boys jeans
2 boys cargo shorts
5 boys shirts
boys track pants
boys jammies
girls dress shoes
deodorant
body spray
shower gel
toilet paper
mouth wash
Grand total (old navy, target) = $130 (savings of $558)

I have only been back in action for 1.5 weeks and its all coming back to me. But if your new and would like to start there are many great resources on the net but my advice is shop clearance racks. Target always has great clearance on their end caps and you can use coupons on those things and get them for next to nothing. Make yourself a organized binder and get a couple Sundays paper inserts. There are also a lot of online coupons you can print. Many stores will offer days for double coupons and you can combine manufacture & store coupons to get great savings. My biggest tip is to hang on to your coupons you don't have to use them right away unless its a great deal you don't want to miss. Also be courteous, don't clear a shelf, don't get greedy, and don't buy something just cause you can. Yes im talking about the girl that bought 77 mustard's knowing her family don't use it and will never need that much in a life time. There is a fine line between healthy and hording. So be sure to check yourself from time to time. Other than that have fun, save money, and live comfortably.

Until next time. Much love ~Robyn

0 Cheeseburger cupcakes....Say what?

One of my besties posted this idea on their wonderful blog and i knew i had to make it with my spin on it. You can find her post over at randomosity.

I can NEVER seem to make a recipe as written and i never measure anything. If you have been following my blog you know this. lol So here is my spin on this idea. I cooked my lean ground beef in a skillet with diced onion, dry mustard, garlic, and a little Lawry's. Once done i removed from heat and stirred in some ketchup. While it cools flatten out a can of grands jr. biscuits. put it in the muffin tins, fill with meat mix top with shredded cheese and bake about 20 min or so til biscuit is done.

While they bake make some cheddar mashed potatoes, fill piping bag. Remove cupcakes from the oven and top with the mashed potato icing. My family loved them and even i really liked it and i HATE ground beef.

The best thing about them is they re-heat well and are great to pop in a lunch box.
