0 Jamberry Nail Review/Tutorial

Jamberry Nail Shields is a new company founded by 3 sisters. They carry tons of styles, colors, designs in tons of collections. They also offer parties like other home businesses where the hostess can receive free credits towards merchandise.

Each Nail shield sheet comes with a variety of sizes to accommodate most nail sizes. I did have a slight problem with this as a my nails were in between sizes so i didn't get a perfect fit and had to do some extra trimming. The application is a really easy process and each set includes instructions to walk you through it but they concept is that of a sticker you just stick it on & smooth it out.

After you get them on you need to make sure you file them really good at the ends or else its going to feel like you have a million hang nails. I filed for what seemed like forever and i still came across a few rough edges. The nail shield have a beautiful color and shine to them and look like a expensive high quality job from the salon.

I have had mine on for a few days and showered washed my hair and all that and they are still going strong. So i could see them lasting awhile. I would definitely check out their site and give them a shot. They are a little on the pricey side at $15.00 a sheet but they do run specials and the material is a good quality vinyl. Or at least that's what they remind me off.

Overall my experience with them was very pleasant, i love the look of them and the smooth easy application. Like i said the only down side i noticed was they don't fit my nails very well but its a easy fix. I got the purple giraffe found here but they have so many beautiful designs its was hard to decide.

0 Home from work

Thanks for the article from Jermaine Haynes

There’s nothing like getting home from work and sinking into my fluffy Pottery Barncouch once and for all. I love the idea around 4:00 of getting home and cracking open a bottle of wine and ordering out Thai food and sometimes I even like to turn on my DirectStarTv and find a good chick flick to take my mind off of work. It sure is nice living by myself and not having to worry that a roommate or boyfriend is going to want to use the TV or vacuum or have a part or something! My favorite time of night is around 8:00 when I realize I’m totally relaxed and ready to go to sleep but I know I don’t have to yet – that’s a good feeling. There’s nothing like having no responsibilities but taking out the dog and cleaning up the take out for the next day and that’s why I like to keep my social life to the weekends! Who wants to go out when they can come home and snuggle all night?

0 Fishnet/Lace Inspired Nail Art Tutorial

I got a request for lace nails and fishnet nails so this will work with either. I decided to use tulle for my fishnet effect since it is really light and thin. If using lace i had better results with a very sheer type of lace with a tiny design but you can use whatever you would like you may just need more top coats.

This style of nail art is not intended to be long term but would be great for a night out or something where your not expecting it to last.

Tip: You want the nail to feel totally smooth so keep applying top coats until you get there and also make sure to go all the way down the nail and get the tips good. Don't want it to lift. Its also easier if you pre cut your material.

0 For a beautiful way to say you care.

I came across serenataflowers which is a united kingdom based flower service but their flower arrangements are available all over the world. The arrangements are beautiful, stylish and unique. Everyone love getting flowers for that special occasion or just to be reminded someone is thinking about them.

I remember the feeling i got when i received flowers. I felt like i was glowing and had butterflies in my stomach as i read the card to see who they were from. Its a truly incredible gesture.

Serenata has flowers for all occasions from romance, to get well and everything in between. In addition to cut fresh flowers they have potted plants. I love the variety they have. Theres your traditional roses up to more exotic blooms. Also the first thing that caught my eye was the unique vases. They are bold vibrant and something you will proudly display.

You can see there selection of online flowers are a perfect gift for that special someone in your heart.
Here can also get some tips for extending the life of your fresh flowers.

If you decide to check them out they do offer next day shipping and i know your gonna be taken back by their beautiful selection so don't delay, let someone know you care.

0 French Kitty Nail Art Tutorial

I have to say the easiest way to do a french tip is to use the tip guides available online, at sallys or any other beauty supply store. They make your tips perfect every time. How ever if you cant find them and have a good steady hand i will show you an alternative to doing tips later this week.

For this tutorial i am using the guides. Then at the end I take it step furture by dressing up a few nails with hello kitty faces and bows. This step is totally optional but its really cute.

0 Basic Mod Dot Nail Art

Todays nail art tutorial is a really simple one. It looks great in any color combo and its classic.

As always start with clean dry nails. And apply your base coat.
After its dry apply 2 coats of your main color. (I used Scandal by Pure Ice)
Next get out your dotting tool and apply 3 large dots down the middle (4 on your thumb) & 4 small dots off to one side (5 on thumb) The color i used was Skull & Glossbones by O.P.I.
Apply a top coat and your done :)

Try this look with all kinds of color combos its one of my go-to designs when im low on time or having a creative block. If you all have any request please let me know.

0 Best Part Of Waking Up is Folgers on your Face.

Thats right you heard what i said. Coffee on your face. Well not a brewed cup or anything but thw actual coffee grounds mixed with cocoa and some cream and oh boy.

We have all heard all the amazing things coffee is suppose to do for our health but what about our skin. Well pretty much the same thing it can take your tired dull skin and bring it to life.

Here is a simple mask i use 3 times a week usually in the cooler months when skin goes dull. It Is great for oily skin as well.

Cocoa, Coffee, Cream:
2 tbls cocoa powder
2 tbls ground coffee (i like a little scubbing action but you can grind it finer to suit your needs)
4 tbls cream or milk (i use cream in winter/ milk in summer)

Mix all the above in a sealable tupperware container as it makes enough for 3 masks.
Using a brush ( like a foundation brush or fan brush) apply a even coat to your face and neck.
Allow to dry 15 min.
Then wash off with warm water.

0 Bringing Back That Special Something.

A lot of times when your in a long term relationship, the romance fades and your overall routine becomes... well routine. You need to find ways to make it fun, playful, adventurous and not so dull. EdenFantasys can help.

They have a huge selection of toys, games, books, cd's, dvd's, oils, gifts and more. Your definitely going to have fun shopping here and getting some new fun ideas to bring that special something back to your relationship. Lets face it we can all use a little help at times. Nothing wrong with admitting it.

My absolute Favorite and most recommended item is the Shunga Oriental Bath Crystals. I have been using these for about 8 years (the Aphrodisa scent) and they are OMG i cant even describe it. They turn your water a beautiful calming blue and smell insanely seductive. Definitely have to check them out. I get them for every newlywed couple i know.

I also want to recommend the Floating Heart Candles. The bath crystals above come with a floating candle but when your trying to set the mood i like to set out a few glass bowls with water in them to use the heart candles. Everyone looks good in a candle lite tub so no need to stress. And with these candles your relaxing sensual bath will be even better.

Next on my list is the Silky Sheets Spray.  This spray comes in 6 different Fragrances and they each include a small amount of pheromones to help set the mood. What this amazing product does is give any sheets that silky smooth luxurious feel of silk. And don't worry it is water based so your all good.

Now that you have your bath ready and your sheets silky you should check out the next item on my must have list. The Hot Affair Game. This game is a lot of fun to play. It has three different levels of play to take you from intimate fun to fantasy fulfilling. You will laugh and learn new things with this great game it really is a blast to play.

So now that i have just set you up for a romantic night at home which we all know you so deserve get on EdenFantasys and check out some of the more adventurous items available to take it to the next level.

Fantasys are meant to be realities they just need a little help...

0 Bluefly is speaking my language.

When it comes to shoes and accessories many woman have no limit. They want the best of the best for whatever reason. Maybe its a status thing or maybe that is their way of pampering themselves. The way i see it is if your going to buy it anyway you might as well save a buck or two or in this case several hundred.

I came across bluefly.com and was shocked to find such discounts on all the top name brand stuff. Bluefly is among  the top 10 online designer retail shop. And its not just for women they have a great selection of goodies for guys to. I personally love these Gucci Shoes:
Gucci natural canvas and leather  Gucci black leather rib knit trim
If your not a big fan of gucci they have tons of other amazing brands like Fendi, Prada, Jimmy Choo, & DKNY. They also have a section called eyefly and you can get some great designer frames for a great price. I'm talking prescription frames under $100. My hubby wears glasses and contacts and i can tell you that is steal. Your gonna pay more than that at your mass produced chains.

So basically if you haven't checked out bluefly you should take a few minutes and go see what they have cause im telling you your gonna be surprised. I know i was.

0 Clairol Natural Instincts

Here is my take on Clairol Natural Instincts. (see i told you my dye review was coming)
So in the previous post i tell you a little about my hair so i'll fill you in. Its thick, wavy, and dark. People always comment on my hair and have always wished they had it. I even get people always trying to touch it. Seriously its crazyness. Back away from the hair people your in my personal space. lol

Anyway i noticed as i got older my color was missing that radiant luster and i was being cursed with not grey but stalk white strands. So not ready for that i started dying my hair black. Not a huge change for me since its so dark anyway. I decided to give the natural instincts a shot and im so happy i did. I have tried many tons of different brands and colors growing up. What i love about the natural instincts is its demi-permanent meaning it last about 28 days i can usually get a month out of it since my natural color is so dark. (Sometimes i do every 3 weeks) But its not as harsh and drying as your other permanent brands out there. I use #37 which use to be called espresso creme but now i think its just black Price is nice as its Always on Sale and you can get coupons for it so i normally get it for like under $2. Sometimes they even have B1G1 free so i get 2 for under $2. That's a steal.

Anyway its really easy to use you pour A into B, shake and walla. It only takes about 10 minutes and washes out really easy. Mine washes out blue so you can imagine i freaked the first time but all is well. They started this new thing with it now that even comes with a 5min refresher for your mid month treatment to sprucen things up however i never use it. Hmm maybe i should try it one day. The conditioner it comes with is AHHHMAAAZING. Its like silk in a bottle and enough to use the whole month. I love its a actual tude of creme and not those crappy little sample packs.

So overall if you want to be like me and look like me and smell like me ok maybe not all that but if you want to have nice hair like mine this is what i use hope it works out for you.

0 Matrix Biolage Rejuvatherapie Vs Hydratherapie

I received both the rejuvatherapie & the hydratherapie so i thought i would put them to the test. First let me tell you a little about my hair. I have long thick hair about to the middle of my back, it has lots of body and looks similar to a lose spiral perm. It is normally a very dark brown but i dye it black. (more on what i dye it with later) Im mostly native american thus leaves me with oily hair by nature but since i dye it, blow dry it, straighten it and what have you its a oily/dry combination. So on to the review.

First i tried the hydratherapie. Its claims hydrathérapie continuously moisturizes hair to help stop the dehydration cycle with the Anti-Dry Care of Aloe + Passion Fruit. I don't know about all that but it did leave my hair soft and smooth. The shampoo didn't smell very good at all which was shocking. But it lathered great and rinsed super clean so i has a happy camper. The conditioner did smell better and was a nice thick creme. I was able to get it all rubbed in and leave it set while i shaved my legs with out it dripping and running in my eyes. So after about 7-10 minutes i washed it out and wow, my hair was so hydrated lol. It was so silky i couldn't wait to get out of the shower and dry it. As it dried i instantly noticed the radiance, my hair had shine it wasn't dull and lifeless no more :)

So next i tried the rejuvatherapie and had high expectations due to the previous review but was let done with this. The shampoo smelled really nice so i was already happy. It lathered just as good as the hydratherapie and rinsed clean. However when it came time to condition i was beyond upset. The conditioner was a nice thick creme but felt like glue in my hair. It wasn't soft or silky or pleasant in any way so after washing it out and trying to manage through the tangles it left behind i had to grab for a different conditioner to do the job right. I cant really give a very accurate after thought since i did have to re-condition so i will just leave you with this.
Both of these lines are about $15 per bottle so your looking at about $30 for a set and that may be on the high side for some of you but if your getting the hydratherapie i would say its totally worth it. Stay far away from the other one unless you like tangled glue hair.

2 Just a rant for the day.

I know I'm not the only one that has the occasional bad day. We are all entitled, its in our nature. Some of course have them more often than others and if you feel pissy daily you probably have issues but here is my rant for the day.

Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean you can assume its pms that doesn't make an ass out of you and me it just makes an ass out of you.

Just because I'm a mom doesn't mean that my kids are out of control and thus must be the problem.

Just because i don't want to talk to you or see you up in my face doesn't mean I'm pissed at the world. Maybe its just you.

Just because i didn't get to the store or do my laundry today doesn't make me lazy or a slob. Maybe I'm just run down from trying to be superwoman all the time.

Just because i would rather sit in my room alone fore the day in peace & quiet doesn't make me social awkward or shy. Maybe its safer for everyone at the time.

Just because i let someone cut in front of me when they could clearly see the lane ends like a mile back doesn't mean i have the time or desire to let a whole parade cut in front of me.

Just because i didn't answer the phone when you called and you know I'm clearly home doesn't mean you should keep repeatably calling. I do know how to pull the cord.

So thous are just a few things to consider before pursuing the annoyance factor in someones life. A little bad day could get you more than you asked for and leave you on the street with a dumb look on your facing wondering what you did. Well a little tip its not ALWAYS about you.

3 Meet The Crew: Lila (Skittlezz)

Like Whoah!!
I havent had to write an essay in a very long time! So I may be a bit RUSTY!! LOL! My name is Lila Skittlezz Vazquez! Skittlezz you may ask?? Yup Skittlezz Ever since I was a kid in elementary I always LOVED bright colors!! From Green Clothes To Green Shoes to Pink sox!! I rocked it all in COLOR!! So from that my nick name SKITTLEZZ was born!!

Makeup has always been something that I have always liked, but till about mabey almost 2yrs ago I started to Really see and intrest in it when I would See Kathy Cervantez and Queen of Blending Work there magic with makeup and Brushes!! I then thought that I would try. I also had a very HUGE passion for NAILS! I love all things wild, vivid and poppin! Nails was one thing that kept me going!! I wanted to learn it all! 0 XO XO XKitty? Nail Art Tutorial

This is not my original idea but this is my way of doing it :)

1.Start with a base coat.
2. Apply your main color to each nail exept the middle.
3. Paint the middle a different color.
(You should have something that looks like the above picture.)
4. Now apply a double x on each nail exept the middle thats for the kitty or whatever animal it winds up looking like.
(Now they should look like the above.)
5. Apply double x's wit a different color polish
(Do they look like this^)
6. Draw on some eyes a nose and a bow.
And you have what should look like hello kitty. My brush was messed up so mine is a little funky i need to order some new brushes.
7. Apply a top coat and allow to dry.
And now you have some super cute nails. Doing detail work like this does take time and practice but you will get it. And your gonna want good detail brushes not the ones that come with the nail polish. Now try to do your other hand. LOL

1 Meet the Crew: Autumn

Hi there! I'm Autumn! I am a super happy, bouncy, energetic, ball of energy. I also have a mini ball of energy, her name is Lanie and she's 3. :) I'm an Army Wife and a Soldier. A friend of mine got me into putting down my makeup designs instead of just playing with my makeup then washing it off. It's been an awesome ride since then. I love COLOUR! I used to just love black. Black wardrobe, black hair, black makeup...but that was in high school and the Army won't let me do that anymore :) Anywaaaays, I may have a slight..not addiction per se, but STRONG LIKING of my makeup. It's a way for me to get out my creativity without doing something like getting oil paint all over the carpet.

I found Robyn's page by liking her page through a like of a like...stay with me, I know my logic is a bit odd. After browsing through most of her pictures and products and recent posts I found out she was looking for promoters. I did my happy dance, which is not going to be demonstrated here, and emailed her ALL my information. Yeah, I'm a newbie when it comes to being a promoter, but I've had SO MUCH FUN! For 23, I think I'm doing pretty good and I see fun stuff in the future. Things are going to be a fun ride...are you ready?

0 Birthday Nails Tutorial

Well there really isn't much birthday about this nail art look other than its posting today. My Birthday :)
So i decided i wanted something cute and girly but not to over the top since i wont actually be going out or anything today just work maybe go to dinner.

Any way here we go. I will assume you know how to do a basic french tip so we will start at that point. If you don't i will get that tutorial up another day.

Here are the goodies you will need:
Top Coat, Nail Glue, White Polish, Corrector pen, Tweezers, Heart flecks, & tiny Silver Barrings
So first you use your white polish just on the ends on your nails.
Next apply a top coat and place your hearts where you want them.

Now is the time consuming part. We are going to add those tiny little balls all the way across the nail. This is how you can hide any crooked lines.
Next your going to want to put several thick layers of top coat on them to set everything and make it smooth & shiny. If you find you have things pop off you can use the glue to secure them but i usually don't have any problems.

TAADAA
Hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial i will get more up soon and if you have any comments or questions or suggestions I would love to hear them.

0 Meet The Crew: Kaitlyn

I like makeup because it give you the ability to change somebody's appearance. Makeup artistry is my favorite art form because it is so versatile, and you get to work on a living canvas. I have always loved to express myself via my makeup ever since I was a young girl. I hope to turn my passion for makeup into my full-time career one day soon.

I like promoting for Abigail's Boutique Designs because I feel that anyone who uses Robyn's mineral pigments will like them just as much as I do. When I find a cosmetic I really like I definitely want to share it with everyone I know. I am a big believer in supporting unique handmade products from hard working independent businesses.
